UV sections for ventilation

Bactericidal sections for ventilation and air conditioning systems

We use low-pressure amalgam lamps as a source of ultraviolet radiation. They are more productive, unlike high and medium pressure lamps, and are the safest, because, when they are destroyed, there is no need to treat the room from mercury.

The UV lamps are housed in a galvanized or stainless steel housing, making it resistant to corrosion and UV exposure during air disinfection in the ventilation system.

Methodology for calculating effective radiation

Based on the type of rooms, cross-section and capacity of your ventilation system, we will calculate the required dose of bactericidal radiation. All calculations are performed according to the methodological guidelines.

Requirements for selection of the UV section:

• required air cleanliness according to SA (depends on room type)

• duct cross-section (mm)

• room volume (m3)

• ventilation capacity (m3/hour).

Model range of germicidal sections to be built into the ventilation system

Our equipment operates efficiently at air temperatures between 10C and 35C.
Due to the low air pressure loss in the system (100Pa), bactericidal irradiators for ventilation can be integrated into existing systems.

We know that conventional UV lamps, which are mostly used in water disinfection systems, are not suitable for use in ventilation systems, as they are actively cooled by air currents. Therefore, in our ventilation modules we use lamps of special UVL-Aero series. These lamps do not lose their bactericidal power even at temperatures close to 0 degrees Celsius and with active airflow. In addition, they are absolutely safe, because in case of lamp damage there is no need for demercurization of the room and ventilation systems, which are integrated bactericidal modules (because the pressure of mercury vapor over solid amalgam is orders of magnitude lower than over liquid mercury, and they can get into the air in quantities significantly below MAC).

During regular operation of the ventilation and air conditioning system, contamination of air ducts occurs. Examination of flushes from internal walls has shown the presence of pathogenic bacteria and mold.

Inhalation of contaminated air can lead to deterioration of human health, spoilage of manufactured products and equipment. Physical filters are not capable of 100% purification of air from microflora. Much better with this task copes with germicidal irradiator for ventilation installation.

The effective action of UV lies in its ability to penetrate into the body of microorganism cells and disrupt the structure of DNA, so that bacteria and viruses lose the ability to reproduce.
